Well, hello again. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend - I know we all needed it! So, now it’s time to get back into the swing of things here and it’s time to get posting again. I’ve been working on the pairings for the upcoming StarChef’s event and my mind has been on Alsatian varietals, and for this weather I’m drinking the 2010 Gobelsburger Riesling. This sustainably farmed off-dry Riesling displays pungent, marginally bitter herbal notes on the nose. The palate is detailed and long with balsam, apple and fennel notes. It finishes with a surprising sense of density and to a crushed stone finishing undertone. It is the perfect pairing with just about anything you would concoct for this weather, enjoy!
